changed it but still get a check light.

the code is o2 sensor heater circuit malfunction(bank 1 sensor 2). my motor is a 350 5.7. i changed the one on the driver side before the converter. the light was cleard. came back on 1 week later. same code.

You didn't change the one behind the converter. There is an O2 sensor after your catalytic converter. It is underneath the truck. The O2 sensors that are underneath are exposed to a lot of road debris, water, elements etc. They usually go bad after a while. Try changing that one. I had the same problem on my 98 Grand Prix. The O2 sensor before the cat (the one you changed) is usually in a lot bet shape because it is under the hood. Try changing the one underneath and see what happens. Good luck.

What's the error code? What motor?
Lot's of things will make the O2 sensor give bad readings.
Could be a bad ground from the motor to the frame. Could be a bad sensor wire or connector. Could be a bad computer.

Need more info.

Sensor 2 should be the rear one.

did you clear the check engine light with an obd ll scanner after you changed the sensor? are you shure you changed the right sensor this vehicle has four of them?
