I think he is a good player and has the potential to be a great player. There are just too many expectations right now. Luckily Barca has many options and doesn't suffer too much when he doesn't perform, but Argentina rely on him a bit too much. I'm sure he will continue to improve and be one of the best in the world within the next few years.

He is an up and coming star....it's just a shame the Argentine coach did not let him get on the pitch during Argentina-Germany in this World Cup. Messi could have made a huge difference in the scoreline.

Lionel Messi is a star that should be starting for Argentina each time they play. Don't forget that if he was suppose to be sold, he would be sold at the same price as Ronaldinho.

over rated like everyother argentine player even diego. he is only playing good in barca cuz he has a bunch of superstars to do the things to help him you think their gona worrie about messi when they have to worrie about eto or ronaldinho overrated overrated is gone after this season from 1-10 ten being the best -1
