Yes....all that junk you see on TV are scams or pryamid schemes. The SBC one where you sell trinkets at 700% mark up....just dollar store wholesalers.
The ebay one you see of the guy selling his ebay system and he was a power seller, etc. He sure was...he was one of ebay's biggest power sellers but he was taken down by ebay and the courts for fraud among many other charges. Wonder why he doesn't mention this during his ad?
And all of the so called get rich over night w/ land and homes. If this was so true....why are they sharing this info, why not do it themselves and make the money. Let alone start a company and grow it and have them do it all. Again...if its so good...why are you selling it?
Plus notice that these commercials are not on during the day or during normal TV viewing hours. They are late night items. These commercials focus on certain age groups and work group brackets. Trying to sell that " you hate your boss...this is a better life " scheme.
Now if you want to make good money from home, there are ways to do it.
Could learn the skill of Paintless Dent Removal in a short time and be making over 100k a year within just 2 years or less. Under $5 investment and 99% profit from all work.
Could be a web programmer or site designer. This is what I am and we can average from $30-$500k per year. Just depends on what sites you build and work that you do. Remember everyone needs a site either for work, personal or for pictures/family albums, etc.
Same field but could be a graphic art designer. Freelance the work so its all at home and there is a huge demand for this. Again depending on work and skill, you can range as high as $500k per year.
If you are a young attractive woman or a man that knows of a few, a simple non nude lingerie web site can actually make good money. Figure charge $1.99 per month for pics, videos. Gain at least 10,000 customers....easy to do from the web. Well thats $20,000 per month in sales for a web site and 1 day a week of pictures and videos being taken.
You can even work at home doing data processing for corporations or for health care organizations. Most want home workers as this saves on office space, over head, etc. In turn paying the person a higher wage.
The way to making good money is simple.......work. There is no miracle or simple item to buy to become rich. If it was this simple the entire world would be rich.

Most seem like scams. They get you to buy a "package" that teaches you how to market yourself and thier products. They generally sell crap and most people wind up quitting the whole thing before making even the initial investment back. Like they say, if it sounds to good to be true, it probably is.

Marcus, I believe that in order for them to advertise, their techniques have to work. It is good though to be cautious of such things.
But when you say you "don't want to invest jack", let me suggest you read this article. It may help you understand a few things about business.
