He lives in Chelsea, Belgravia, South Kensington, Hampstead of St John's Wood. He has an account with Harrods and possibly Fortnum & Mason. His shoes are hand made and so are his suits and shirts (Saville Row). He attends church at St James's Piccadilly. He has his own little cocktail cabinet at home, but his kitchen is always pristine because he tends to eat out a great deal and when he is at home he is happy with a few choice little snacks --smoked salmon, Gentleman's Relish on crackers, devilled almonds, or whatever else tickles his fancy. He reads "The Times", "The Financial Times" or "The Telegraph".

I would say the area he/she lives in. If it is Kensington/Chelsea/Mayfair they are probably posh. The other aspect might be how they talk....i.e. with a rather good accent, and how they dress, i.e. well-groomed and with not-too-new-looking clothes, yet obviously expensive ones.
The poshest people I know wear Marks & Spencer!
They usually never eat MacDonald's or pizza.
Hope this is helpful.

I have heard that there are places they take their Range Rovers to be splattered with mud to make it look as if they spend time in the countryside! How sad is that???
