These women both have very questionable life styles. With their bizarre sex habits and strange crazy behavior. Such as Angelina tongue kissing her brother at award shows and Madonna just being Madonna. These are not the kind of people you would want raising your child. I would like to see if they would be approved to adopt a child born in this country. Why should we be impressed with them adopting a child as opposed to helping to build schools which will improve the lives of thousands of children, like what Ophrah has done. I for one, am distressed when I see these children being carted around by these sort of people. I have never seen an Asian child whom has Asian parents, in this country sporting a mohawk . This child should be raised to know his culture and not be treated like a show doll .

I agree, I dislike seeing these women carrying around their adopted babies and Asian kids like little pet poodles. What are people supposed to think, oh, she is so kind. I know the child will be spoiled beyond belief but is that doing any good.
Yeah for Oprah, she does so much good and knows how to wisely help.

Adoption is a kind, loving, thing to do. If you are willing to open up your heart and home and welcome a new person into your family than that is the most unselfish thing you can do.

However, my problem with the many celebrities adopting is that they feel the need to go to any country that offer adoption, any country except for their own. It's great that they are giving these kids a life that they might not would have had. It's great that they use their star power to raise awareness to the hungry, sick, and poor in the same 3rd world countries. They get on tv with their telethons and beg American's to give what they can to help those is need, again for the same 3rd world countries, and again, other than their own. If I'm not mistaken we have lots of kids in need, there are orphanges all over the US. We have more than enough sick, hungry, and homeless people. You would think that they could start right here if they feel the need to give of their time, money, and love. Because the people of this country purchase tickets for their movies, buy their cd's to listen to their music, we buy their books, their clothes, their makeup, their perfume, their shoes,etc...I'm sure you get the point. And because we do they make millions. So is it unreasonable to ask that they start right here at home when they feel the need to spread their love and wealth, or maybe they just need a tax write off, of they did something that they feel they should atone for so that the public will continue to support them in the ways they have become accustomed to...bottome line, it would be nice to see any of these stars support us as much as we support them and I do mean litteraly...

A lot of (non-celebrity) people who become parents (biologically, by adopting or fostering) have diverse, and occasionally perverse pasts. This doesn't necessarily make them bad parents, but sometimes they are. Sometimes the squeakiest clean people can be bad parents.

On the plus side, Angelina's children are never going to want for anything they need, this is what would have happened had they not been adopted, as many orphaned children in 'developing' nations aren't. In this way, they are lucky.

Maddox is Angelina's son (even if he is adopted from Cambodia), and like any parent (famous or not, biological or not) she has the right to choose how his hair is cut. Whilst Maddox lives in the US, this is his culture - for better or worse, though I am fairly certain Angelina is committed to ensuring both Maddox and Zahara learn about their cultural heritage.

Seeing celebrity's children being dressed up and paraded around like dolls worries me too. Worst of all is Michael Jackson, the way he treats his children would be considered abuse by many people.

What worries me also is the children who are forced to go without school books, medicine, or breakfast because Mum or Dad 'need' their bourbon, cigarettes, or pot.

Adopting one or two children does nothing to address the real problems going on in impoverished countries. It is just the celebrities collecting children and feeling like saviors when they are often sidestepping the laws to acquire these children. Personally, I would rather stay in my own country and culture and language than live my life as someone's pet. And wasn't Madonna funding the orphanage that Mercy was living in? If it was such an awful place and she was funding it, what does that say about Madonna?

I am pleased when a child is adopted. There are many children out there who may never know what it is like to grow up in a home.

I understand your concerns for the lifestyles of these ladies, however, I know many people who appear to be very nice and their homes tell a different story.

I can only hope for the best for all children who are adopted. If I were a child without parents or whose parents didn't want me I believe I would be happy to be adopted by one of these ladies.

I do wish that more people with money would give to more children.

I don't know what goes on in their homes, but I do know what goes on in the lives of unwanted children. I choose homes.

Madonna being a Mommy has always seemed odd. She has two of her own. She wants more? Her music career is stunted so she needs something to do to occupy her brain. Adopting a child is probably her next new hobby. I hope she has a nanny! As for Angelina? She seems scary sometimes but maybe she has softer side that we haven't seen. (I'm hoping!) I have more faith in her than I do Madonna!

You are entitled to your beliefs and opinions of course. But if the people doing the adopting were not so high profile you and others not involved, wouldn't even know about it. I asked another person who was critical of the adoptions how many children had they adopted and helped. I pose the same question to you. Have you taken an orphaned child into your home? Have you reached out to help children who don't have parents? Why be critical if you aren't trying to make a difference yourself.

They have their weird habits, true. But how qualified are most people who HAVE kids?

The only thing that upsets me about the Madonna adoption is that the dad is still alive--I don't know the details, but doesn't it seem like since the family loves him they could find a way to raise him rather than selling him to Madonna? It seems like human trafficking to me.

I don't know about Madonna (how she will treat the child) but as for Angelina Jolie, she is not crazy anymore (having a child changed her) and actually she has a home in Cambodia, for the purpose of her son to have roots with his culture. So maybe he has been "Americanized" but he is being treated very well.

You're right. I mean think of Angelina and how shes to lazy to get her own boyfriend so she steals everyone elses. What kind of an example is that for Zahara and Shiloh. Madonnas just plain weird. But yeah its not fair to a five year old lilltle boy to be paraded around for the cameras to see.
