Ah yes, the good old days. Timothy Claypole the jester, Nadia Popov (played by Sue Nicholls-Audrey in Coronation Street) the one who was allergic to flowers, McWitch, Dobbin the horse, Mr and Mrs Meaker. Struggling to remember the rest but it was definitley a classic show. Apparently you can get it on dvd. Might get it for my daughter to show her what real kids tv was like. Bring back the old ones I say.

Wow, I loved this series, with Claypole, McWitch and Miss Popov (aka Audrey Roberts from Corrie)
Used to race home from school when this was on, BBC1 I believe in the 80s.
I remember Claypole giving Ethel and Harold Meeker's neighours the Perkins a talisman that whenever they wished
something it would come true with hilarious results.
They did bring the really old black and white series out on DVD some time ago, and I hope that they decide to bring the latest episodes out.
I also remember Dobbin and Adam Painting (Christopher Biggins) and the famous ending...
'Don't go into the cellar....'
They sure don't make em like that anymore!

This show was a quality show.with Mr and Mrs Meaker; she has ginger hair and he was a large bloke with a moustache. Mr Claypole was the nutter, and my favouite was Dobbin the horse, there was also Miss Popoff who always sneezed when there were flowers about! I remember the theme tune too!! Bring it back!!

The guy who played Timothy Claypole - Michael Staniforth died of Aids in 1987
and the woman who played Nadia Popov - Sue Nicholls is Audrey Roberts in Corrie!!

Well the actress who plays AUDREY ROBERTS in CORRIE played Miss POPOV don't remember the rest of the cast. sorry

I consistently theory that Mr. French and Sissy have been in all probability getting down and grimy in the pantry. i did not like Buffy or Jody the two. damn gingers freaked me out, and Uncle bill became old. I did love that practice although.

yesss, i lived for this programme it was that imaginative!
timothy claypole was the double of one of my social workers.
the woman who plays audrey roberts in coronation street was in it.
they should bring back rentaghost, it was fantastic.
