I felt bad for him because lucy always tricked him with that football and he fell flat on his face, and because at halloween he got rocks instead of candy.

I would be a mope too if I was him. He is a poor little chubby boy with no hair who gets picked on all the time and people call him a 'blockhead'. The Halloween episode he gets only rocks for trick or treating. The one were he is going to try for class president, everybody says he can't do it. Thanksgiving, Lucy pulled up the football and made him fall on his back. Christmas, they told him his tree was stupid and ugly. There are alot more sad instances with poor Charlie Brown.

ya, i always did feel bad for him so i didn't watch the show or read the cartoon when i was little. i was gonna say that my reason was the girl always tricked him with the football, but i saw that you already put that!

I think he's just a cartoon. Maybe he's meant to be a victim. Maybe he likes to be the victim see, then every one will feel sorry for him and he can continue being the victim.

yes! when i was little i asked my mother why they did that to him. and she said "because there are some mean kids out there sajey". and i cried a little! and now im expeiriancing all that pain with him:(
