$0 and $0 . Yes, lotteries are cons. Take a probability class sometime and you'll see. Gambling is a tax on people who are unable to understand probability.

I buy all my tickets online, so I don't forget to put the numbers on, so its all done direct debit. £36 comes out of my account each month on Thunderball. and one line on the Lotto

The Most I've won is £125. (Thunderball)
£64 (Lotto)

I get lots of five pound wins

No, its not a con, you've got to be in it to win it. Any gambling system could be described as a con, especially if you don't win. You've just got to be lucky and only gamble what you can afford.

Camelot are very upfront with their figures and are thoroughly regulated and checked.

At the end of the day you have the option to play or not to play, if you think its a con, its your prerogative not to play, but the lucky millionaires out there will not be sitting in their armchairs tonight wondering if the Lotto is a con or not.

Whilst I'm not one of those lucky people and my winnings have been modest, if I thought it was a con, I'd stop my direct debit this instant. I don't, so I won't!

I spend one pound a week and my biggest win is £10.00. I did once win £50.00 on a scratch card. I don't think it's a con, it's just luck of the draw. I would never spend more than a pound a week.
