Rap music makes a lot of sense, if you listen and make an effort to understand. You want a good example of studying rap music and hip-hop writing to help you make sense of it? Read ", said the shotgun to the head." and "The Dead Emcee Scrolls" by Saul Williams. However, "Chain Hang Low" does not appeal to me by any means because it's incredibly shallow. Yeah, of course it "makes sense," because it's so simple that it could make sense to anyone old enough to understand what a fancy chain necklace is and knows enough slang to understand "bling-bling." It doesn't go much further than that. It's pretty much 3 and a half minutes of "Look at my chain. Isn't it awesome! It's better than yours. Look at it! It's covered in diamonds and such, and it's worth a lot, which in turn shows my worth as a person." Seriously. Mind you, I like a lot of "crunk" music. I know it sounds dumb, because I'm white, and I really don't relate... but it's catchy, and the lyrics are so outrageous that they crack me up. But this song is just dumb. You take a kids song and throw some cheap lyrics in about your chain and you have a hit rap song? Come on. Do a little searching, you'll find better than this.

a lot of rap songs make sence.sometimes u just have to work at it to find out what they mean....and im listening 2 does ur chain hang low right now lol.

i think its stupid. they must have gone REALLY REALLY low to copy off a kids donkey song. by the way i like do your EARS hang low... better!!! HA
