Why would that be immoral? How is your morality implicated in such a decision?

I never think that giving someone a chance, is immoral .He could turn out to be the best friend you've ever had.

It's not very nice to lead someone on to think you like them. Just do what I have done: tell them you really like him/her as a friend (stress the friend) and you guys could hang out as friends, but nothing more. Pity is not the way to start a relationship, plus, it's not fair to have the other person buy you dinner, a movie, etc.

I think thats not good, because you are leading the person on if you don't like him. Break it off before he gets to hooked on you.
Why do you feel bad for him?
