what is the meaning of colors? for example blue.?

in fact my friend asked me that if i want to paint his picture, which color i will use. now i want to know all color meanings to choose from.

I am a but confused about what you are asking because you did not give enough details. but sometimes in painting color does have a meaning. it is refering to a mood. like painting someone blue. it means you are capturing a mood in your painting. in this case the color blue would represent a mood of sadness or they are depressed.
yellow: fearfull,cowardly
Green: jealous, envious
Red: angry
and so on.....

Brown= grounded/connected These are primary colors and the generalized meanings but different cultures have different meanings for different things. plz research different cultures for the difference.

Some people see meanings in colours but i dont really look at them like that.
I think it is better to choose colours, or more importantly colour combinations, that you like.
