If everyone just refused to allow racism in their homes, and tried to vigorously root it our of their hearts and minds, whenever it springs up, then I'm pretty sure it would be a rarity after a few generations. We should be active about rejecting it in other people whenever it rears its ugly head.
Also, I saw some articles in Forbes or Fortune this year and it talked about planned diversity in the corporate world, which would guarantee a better overall economic equity.

One of the other posters said: "Give good moral education to white people who represents the majority racist & bigots in the world and run terrorist outfits like KKK, white pride, southern cross to achieve their objectives " Unfortunately, this is a misconception and prejudiced opinion. Most white people have never met anyone who joined a terrorist organization like the KKK. Any group of poeple can be racist, and they can even be racist against their own people. For that reason, it is important also for the victims of racism to completely root out the remnants of "slave mentality" in themselves.
Finally, let's not replace one kind of "racism" with another. You probably know that I'm referring to this xenophobia and inflamed hysteria about immigration and terroism issues.

You have to understand that respect for your own culture, and a wanting to keep it going, is strong in every culture. So there will always be an us vs them mentality.
Of course it certainly would be nice if the different cultures allowed each other to exist in peace. But generally there is a tendency to look down on the other cultures in order to promote one's own.
Stopping the hate starts with each and every person. You have to get to know people of different cultures, and let them get to know how nice you are. When I have done this, I generally get known as the exception to the rule. As in, all $%@$ people are $%$% except for her. Those are blanks not cuss words, I hope. I'd like to think that when there are enough exceptions to the rule, people might start rethinking their stereotypes.

We cannot change the world and unfortunately hate is a part of life. However you can start by being a respectful person, who thinks before you react. You are not accountable for how others behave or think, you are only accountable for your own actions.Listen to the words to Garth Brooks song "The Change" The lyrics are very moving. It is inspiring.Listen to it if you haven't heard it.

We can't erase racism, because there will always be people who carry a grudge on a certain race because of some experience that person had or their family had with the race. The best effort we can make is to change our views of being victims and try to reach out to those who carry that hate and make them see the benefits of each race.

Deepak Chopra talks about universal consciousness: a global consensus. If we ALL cared passionately about the same issue, the issue would be resolved no matter how unrealistic it seems in light of our lack of unity. So, the answer is for people around the world, or in a given nation, to have a change of heart and build that consensus.

Since the beginning of the Human race, racism has been around. One group was always jealous of another because of the way they lived or what they had.
As long as envy, greed and fear are in our lives, there will be racism along with them. "No society can grow unless it uses the labor of another"

Maybe if some people were more understanding about other colors, people wouldn't get into many problems. People don't have to like the person but at least tolerate them. Also cultural stereotypes need to be clarified, many people believe false, information about other people.

seriously, i just think we need to inform ourselves, get to know all these different cultures and where they're coming from. we tend to judge a culture based on OUR past, not on theirs. this is why sometimes we have misunderstandings. each culture has different values and principles, but they all have REASONS for doing so, too.
so i think we just need to be tolerant and inform others about cultures so that it will produce a domino effect and maybe one day, racism will be almost nonexistent.

Don't be tolerant of it. If someone makes a racist comment, let them know how ignorant they are. I'm hoping as time goes by, it will no longer be acceptable behavior.
