about religious phase or whatever....? To me it's like I have this schizophrenia problem and live in a city where there's more or less like 3 or 4 lesbians besides me? and like, I don't really have the money to go to a disco in another city, and that's like the only place I would met someone...

So, lately I just don't feel like it anymore, to be going there and looking for a girlfriend...it really seems somehow stupid having to do tha, t to be with someone. I don't know maybe I just wanna be alone for a while.

And religious books are like the only one's I have read, no wonder, I have schiz and would like to be cured...so I hung in there.

Is there anyone who made similar experiences, who got "back" to being lesbian. How did that feel? Right now, for me, it's like, religious people are like a group of people who claim to know the future (apocalypse) and other things about the afterlife and stuff, and I think noone really KNOWS anything...I am inbetween...religion and atheism.

to indy or whatever: I never claimed to be cured, I claimed to be an ex-lesbian, because it all feels a lot like that. I don't feel like looking for a partner at all. And I have read a lot in the bible, qur'an and baghavad ghita...and that sure has an effect on the person who reads it.

If I may offer this thought...

There is a BIG difference between being religious and being spiritual. Sometimes they overlap and sometimes they don't.

Religion is a means, created by humans, to worship the divine. In short, it is a set of rules for doing that and for living.

Spirituality helps you sense the inter-connectedness of all people and our inborn connection with nature and the universe. It is a flow of energy, so to speak, amongst us all.

That said...

There are many religious people that are natively spiritual. They follow a set of rules based on whatever religion thay practice, and they also see the light in others. The main way that I recognize those people is the fact that most of them know that different people have different paths to God/Goddess/Whatever name you use and don't try to force their ideas on you.

Those who are religious, but not spiritual are attached to dogma and rules. Often they view nature and something separate. These same people are also the ones who are most likely to try to force their veiws on others by over preaching or by changing the law.

My point is that religion is not the issue, the lack of spirituality is. If you were raised inside of any of the Abrahamic Religions (Christianity, Judiasm or Islam) you may want to take some time to explore the concept of the Sacred Feminine. and perhaps a bit about the spiritual practices of assorted tribes or pagan religions. It will help restore a more balanced sense of spiriuality.

I added a couple of links to get you started.

I hope this helps.

Start reading a greater variety of religious books. I know the types of books and people you're talking about, but there are a lot of other viewpoints, even amongst the christian community. Also opening your eyes to, dare I say, looking outside the christian community might help you out. Try blending teachings from other faiths into your own. Fundamentalist Christianity works for some people, but it doesn't work for most. Someone's own faith is very personal and should reflect that. I'm wiccan for example, but my views on the god and the goddess may vary a lot from what some other wiccans believe.

Also, a little bit of advice from single lesbians to another single lesbian: try meeting people through other groups, like volunteer and not-for-profit organizations. You can do something fulfilling and enjoyable, as well as meet someone that you might start a relationship with. For a lot of people the bar/club scene gets old quick. This seems to be a great alternative.

Wow, you are the same person that was in here 3 or 4 days ago claiming to be "cured".
So much for your little speeches.
No one likes a hypocrite.
