Ask yourself why this matters to you. Being a virgin just means you haven't had sex with anyone - it's merely a point in your life. If he's had sex, but only once, is he less likely to be someone you'd want to go out with? How about twice, with two different people? What is your limit here?
If you are really interested and in a relationship with him, ask; otherwise, it's none of your business, so stop being so curious!

Good luck with that one...you could tell by if he is experienced in what he's doing, if he isn't then he probably is a virgin.

There is no way to tell. Men ejaculate in their sleep all by themselves (a 'wet dream') even if they have never had sex with a partner. There is no physical way to tell if a man has had sex with a partner.
