Since you are 52, the arthritis is probably osteoarthritis, and not rheumatoid, which is usually diagnosed earlier. There was a book written by an MD (Dr. Jason Theodakis) a few years ago called "The Arthritis Cure" and the physician was profiled in People Magazine. He wrote of first hand accounts of healing people crippled with osteoarthritis by giving supplements of glucosamine and chondrointin. I would recommend you get the book (go to Ebay.com or Amazon.com) and read it over. The reason he tried it was because he had seen thoroughbred horses given injections of glucosamine and chondroitin into their joints to keep them going- and you can imagine how hard THEY work their joints. But the supplements are oral, and over the counter. I would strongly encourage you to investigate this further.
If you have rheumatoid arthritis, there are treatments available but none of them are pleasant, I'm sorry to say. They involve suppressing your immune system (since R.A. is an autoimmune disorder- the body is attacking itself) which leaves you more vulnerable to infections and colds.
Good luck to you. Keep up the good fight. I hope this answer helps you.

Imagine for a moment your arthritis completely vanishing right now.

If, in a moment, your pain and stiffness melted away. And your joints all of a sudden functioned like a well-oiled machine.

Like a magic wand was waived, you'd be able to jump up from your chair and run around the room like a kid.

And imagine that you'd never have to suffer as much as a pinch of arthritis stiffness or pain ever again.

I know this sounds impossible right now, but bear with me, because sometimes miracles happen.

It was a gift from a woman on the other side of the world. From the kindness of her heart, she took pity on my suffering and taught me how to completely reverse my arthritis.

Today, I want to do the same for you!

Go to herbdoc.com and see what they have available. Or get hold of the hottest herbal cayenne (chile) powder you can find. In a large clean jar fill with extra virgin olive oil and put 5 to 10 heaping tablespoons of the cayenne powder. Let it sink to the bottom of the jar. Turn jar over and let powder thoroughly mix. Then take a small amount in the morning and the evening before bed and rub it on the afflicted areas. This brings the blood to the surface and breaks up the calcium deposits that cause arthritis. If you also drink three cups a day of herbal cayenne about 100,000 scoville units(heat factor) it will only take 6 to 12 weeks to see that there is no more arthritis in any of your joints. If you just rub the olive oil mixture on the afflicted areas it will take about 6 months to rid yourself of any arthritis in you joints.

Is there anything to stop Rheumatory Arthritis? My answer is yes. If you take Glucosamine/Chondroitin or its equivalent as long as its not in the joints arthritis can not get in thats my experience. How do you get it out of the blood good question I would guess this takes place because the bloodstream is polluted I would think kyo-Greens and possibly a detox that contours your medical problems.

If there was, don't you think that your doctor would give it to you?
As a fellow sufferer, I get incensed by mumbo jumbo. crack pot. herbal, magnetic and dietary nonsense spouted by idiots who probably never had the disease in the first place. 98% of the population will get some form of arthritis before they die. It costs the country billions in treatment, hospitalisation and sick pay etc.
so if there was something to stop or slow it down they would put in the water supply! There are however, ways to help yourself - good diet, keep mobile, don't get overweight, pain killers - there is plenty of literature out there good luck

Arthritis is a complex thing but there are some experts who claim a link betwen diet and arthritis. Supposedly you can modify your diet to reduce arthritic symptoms. I don't know the details but I'm sure that you can find out if you search the net.

Glucosamine, chondroitin and MSM is a useful combination. Health food shops and similar outlets will have tablets. Trial and error will help you to find an appropriate dose to ease the symptoms. Regular exercise will also help considerably but don't overdo it!

Some say that diet can exacerbate the problems e.g., for some, tomatoes are a problem.

protect your joints. don't lift heavy objects - for instance, don't over fill kettles or lift anything if you don't have to, buy a trolley to push object round the house on rather than lift them and there are loads of specialist gadgets to help with everyday tasks, take pain killer (anti inflammatories with milk to protect the stomach lining) and rest if you are aching. Be gentle on yourself, eat a good diet, no alcohol and no smoking
