He and his family/followers are indeed the vilest human beings that I can think of right now, but I am better than they are.
I would leave them alone to mourn their loss knowing that he will be very surprised where his soul ends up.

I wouldn't do anything about him. actually, many people think he is a "shame" for christians or other things, but I have always understood him. What he says is not just something out of nowhere, it is all based on scripture in the bible. If anybody has a problem with what he says he can as well have problems with ALL of christianity. After all, what he proclaimed is stuff out of the bible. Passages like "don't cry over them when one of them dies, they were all unbelievers"...Even his "god hates america" makes sense...there are passages that say that god wants to punish the states, the rich country like an "eagle". and the sign of the usa IS actually an eagle.
Right now I don't want to hear anything about religion anymore to be honest. And I also don't think you should have a problem with Phelps. Phelps just defends a point of view that has been indoctrinated in his head, just like a cliché, by a book, whiches only goal it seems to be right now to me at least...to scare people and tell them either you do like I say or you will have misfortune, hunger, you will be persecuted, or whatever else. In that sense, don't hate phelps, hate the book.
I find it very questionable right now that this book does that. And I must say I feel threatened, now that I want more distance of it. Maybe that is one part, that religious fanatics don't see, or don't want to see; that they are under pressure...
That's exactly it. "God" keeps saying, in that book: "Choose yourself today, the blessing or the curse". So, what's up with phelps or other christians, are they just "trying to make everything right" because they fear that "god"?
In that sense, I don't want to hate phelps and I won't do anything when he dies. But I will definately keep on thinking about those things, until I found my answer.
PS: See, "Froggie" did it again: He said Phelps is an insult to christians...THAT'S JUST NOT TRUE! The christians who say that just have never read the bible!!!! What he says is 100% according to the bible!!!! if someone absolutely wants to talk about what's a "shame for christians", then he should talk about homosexual priests, or woman priests, because THAT IS not according to the bible; a fact that also many people today don't even know. Now you may say "oh this loony-liz again, talking bullshit", but actually what I say is not bullshit at all, and I would blow away each and every so-called priest or whatever with my arguments...because what I say concerning christian religion is BASED on Christian religion and not my ideas about it.
It is a shame when a woman is priest, or a homosexual, because both of that go against the convictions written down in the bible. And that is a shame: Not conforming to the moral, or other societal or whatever values....A woman priest is not conforming to the values of the bible. Paul in the bible says: "A priest must be a MAN..."
But Phelps, going on funerals and showing no respect for the dead, IS conforming to the values of the bible. The prophets say: "Don't cry over them, they were all nonbelievers".
Bla bla bla, I talked a lot about it, I just wanted to make my point clear....
AND PPS: Don't think of me as a religious fanatic please. I am not. I have just read a lot in the bible, and I am one of those who think: either all, or nothing, that's all....I just think if you really want to be christian, you must also be informed about christianity. and I think that of every possible theme. Nuff said now.

what I will do? just wish that he is on a slow boat to hell!
He doesn't realize what he is doin to people, especially the families of them people he is insulting. What I wish happen to his family as well, to see how stupid they were to follow his idea. And after all, it's written in the bible "le salut est individuel" (salvation is individual)...

Couple of things right off the top of my head:
1) take a pair of post hole diggers, dig down about 2 feet and shite in his grave.
2) back my sex-changed kitty up to his tomb stone and water it good.
OK?

Let his death pass with no notice and no attention.
By picketing, we give attention to one of the most hateful people even to be born.

I will be glad his hatred is gone from this earth and hope that since he was the leader of his "church" , it will fall apart without him.
