Thrift Stores turn me on. It is the best of both worlds!!
I dress for myself, I don't care if my honey likes it or not, if I don't like it, it is not going on this body

I dress to please myself... but there's usually quite a few people who like the way I dress. I'm not a "Label Queen" but I do like to splurge on something higher quality once in a while. Oh yeah, higher quality does not mean designer... I really don't understand the infatuation with designer stuff and most of it that people around here can afford just has the Prada or Gucci logo plastered all over it. Tacky!

I dress to make myself feel good. It could be sweats one day and a really revealing top the next, it just depends on what mood I am in, and really the clothes that I buy, a few are designer, name brands and some I get from target or JC pennys depends on money. Sometimes you find great deals at department stores. My biggest pleasure: Tommy Hilfiger pumps, I wear those anytime I can put them on! :)

BOTH!! i just bought this great red prada bag because the color is hot this season and I love the style of it BUT I also go to Target sometimes for clothes or cheap jewelry thats more trendy and not worth spending the big bucks on.

I try to buy quality clothing, at the best price I can find. The name on the label does not matter, but there is definitely a difference in quality. I don't think that anyone will say they dress to please other people, but indirectly we do. Few want to be viewed as a person who does not care about their appearance. Such as going out with wrinkled clothes, or mismatched clothes.

I dress to please myself. Oh and like fifi I like thrift stores.
I buy at Catos and Goodys. We don't
have a K'Mart or Target in our town.
Sometimes I go to other towns to buy
something that's extra nice for special occasions,
but not Prada or Gucci.

Name brands dont turn me on, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Manolo Blahnicks, they are just names. I buy what I can afford and what I think looks good on me, with more emphasis on the latter.
Fashion and style is not important in my job as much as they are in others. Different folks...
As for dressing to please others, that is childish. Once you reached the age of 16, your pack/herd/belonging to in-crowd mentality should already dissipate into a comfortable self identity and maturity. If not age, then university and life itself will define where your priorities with clothing will finally lie.
And one last thing. When you start to make your own money and the amount for shopping is finite, you will shop for best value, So you might find pieces of your wardrobe in very discount places, and yet find a very expensive laptop on your desk, or dress funny while you are paying for a flat of your own..
And that will turn you on.

I dress to please myself but if I'm going in the business world I dress for the respect or courtesy of others and sometimes I have to represent my business or college so I dress for their image.
