Lots and lots and lots. There are an infinity number of stars plus one - The Sun. Some people count stars at night but they can never count them all because the stars are everwhere.
Did you know that the stars disappear when it gets light, but they stay exactly where they are because they are hidden?

Serveral possible answers depending on the true meaning of your question. If you're asking how many can you see, it depends on where you live. If you live in a city -- no more than about 500.

If you live in the country -- as many as 2500.

If you mean how many starts are there in the Milky Way -- estimates are between 175 and 200 billion.

Take your pick.
