if you're interested in writing, or sending care packages, that's the best place to do it.
I'm an army wife, and not only do i send packages to my husband, i help out the unit through our FRG. We send them magazines, books, shaving cream, soap, shampoo, clean socks, anything to keep their morale up, and keep them healthy.
Soldiers love getting mail from home to let them know we support what they're doing 100 percent.

That's true. I just got out of the military. I have been deployed to Iraq twice. Sometimes it is really good to hear from people to remind us that our fellow Americans care for us and wish us the best. Packages are also a good thing. Sometimes we can't get what we need and people send simple things like pens, paper, toothpaste, books, candy, chips, etc. Basically anything that you think would be useful. So if you are thinking about writing a soldier I think you should definately do it. It may make someone happy.

We in the canadian forces recieve all kinds of letters and packages from people and believe me we take the time to write back and thank people for their thoughts and prayers. Mostly people send candy and things that won`t melt in the heat. also books and crossword type puzzles so our minds aren`t always thinking about combat.
