If you've watched Spaced, which was made before Shaun of the Dead by Simon Pegg and Jessica Stevenson, then you'll know theres a dog in it called Colin. Theres a scene in the last episode where Daisy (Jessica Stevenson) bangs on an upstairs window and yells "Colin" and the dog which is outside looks round. However if you look closely he doesn't look up. The line that dog's can't look up is a joke that stems from that.

Big Al is wrong. Hunting dogs look up into trees where squirrels or racoon's are treed.

Not sure what you mean by LOOKING UP.. I would say yes.. a dog can look up ... have you ever thrown a frisbie at a dog.. He looks up and catches it doesn't he?

Good question. I don't have a dog to test this but don't they move their heads op to look up? I guess you mean can they move their eyeballs upwards.

Yep- my dog is always at the table, looking up for pieces of food that fall.

Dogs can indeed look up. Pigs can't, though (It's physically impossible for them).
