How do you learn/use PHP?

I'm making a website and i need to know.

You can't learn programming by reading books. Only way to learn is to do it yourself. Same applies to php. Install Apache, PHP and do it yourself. I suggest doing it on linux though.

You can also buy books (or get them from the library).
