You are going to have a hard time finding anyone selling a new motherboard that handles that cpu. Its a little on the "old" side and for the price of a motherboard you could probably find a motherboard/cpu combo that blows your 500mhz away.

For example and motherboard capable of dealing with your cpu runs $ http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813136146

But a motherboard/cpu combo that comes with a 3.2 Ghz processor runs 99.00

It's all a cost benefit thing... If you have and old processor and nothing else, offer it up on ebay for a few bucks and look for a used box on ebay that fits your needs.
If you have an old system and you thing the motherboard needs replacement you could be throwing good money after bad.
You can get an offlease box for under 100 and you will end up with something faster than 500 Mhz.
Good Luck

I would recommend either the ABIT SA6 or the Gigabyte GA-60XM7E motherboards. They are around $150 or less on sites like newegg.com.
