Perhaps his dying at this time is a message that they need to recognize how they cheered him up after he sexually abused a page. Now they act so upset because the Republicans failed to act on Foley. Any group that reelects a convicted sex offender who receives a pardon from a president has nothing to say about morality or ethics.

So what your trying to say is then it should have been OK for Foley? I'm not understanding how you are trying to equate one with the other. And you say Liberals.
Depends on what your definition of Liberal is. Were all the same people who want the same things. Just in different ways.
What I find most amusing, is once someone throws a label on another person, ignoring both the meaning of the word and the fact that the person being labeled doesn't agree.
When people can make up whatever meaning they want for the words and labels they throw around, those words become meaningless. Which devolves the entire conversation to mindless shouting.

Okay, Studds had sex with a 17 year old who was of age in Washington. That would be "legal consensual sex". He was censured by the House and then re elected. That is like, he confessed, was punished, was forgiven and re elected by his constituents. At the same time Dan Crane, Republican of Illinois, had sex with a 17 year old who was of age in Washington. That would be "legal consensual sex". He was censured by the House but was not re elected by his constituents. That is like, he confessed, was punished, but his constituents did not forgive him.

Foley, on the other hand, exchanged sexually charged im's with pages or former pages, while in charge of a House committee on internet sexual exploitation of minors. While he may not have had sex with any minors or emailed any minors, his actions were certainly not of the standard one would expect of a representative. His behavior was reported to Republican staffers but nothing was done about it officially - unless you count saying, hey, guy, stop it!! Further, Foley was not forced to resign by anyone; he did that all on his own and then hightailed it off to rehab so he wouldn't have to talk to anyone until after elections.

So exactly what point are you making here?

You could also ask why a Republican Congress honored him.

"In 1996, Congress named the 842-square mile Gerry E. Studds Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary after him in recognition of his work protecting the marine environment."

Go figure this guy really did have sex with 17 yr old,but send an e-mail and you are a threat to children, like i always say to liberals/democrats(rats),when it comes to republicans, its the seriousness of the charge that counts, not the facts.

Don't try to shift attention from this Republican scandal. This may help to cause you to lose control of the House. The only friend Hastert has today is Bush. It figures.
