I think you should be asking your pediatrician these questions. Each child has different needs. Everyone will have different answers. Major problems should be diagnosed by the doctor not yahoo questions.

Let her eat till she tells you she dosent want to anymore. No they wont get fat. No, none of that stuff they tell you about regulating them is true. Especially with breastmilk. At the hospital they tried (with both my kids) to regulate them. They said that 10 mins on each breast was fine and i should keep switching and like a totaly of twenty mins or something.
I found out real fast with the piranna of my daughter (my first), to just let them eat. When she was done and tired she stopped. We were both happier and I found I was gaining some of my sanity back. At three months, you don't usually have to wake them if they haven't eaten enough. They know.
Newborns know how much they need, and you are gonna have one angry child on your hands if you limit how much breast milk or formula she can have. My son is now six months old; unfortunatly I could only breastfeed him for 4 months. I started out like I did with my daughter with 4 oz bottles. I had to usually do like 4 or 5 of those bottles at one time, so I used one of my daughters old 6 oz bottles, mixed everything accordingly and he was as happy as a clam. He now (at 6 months) eats a 6 oz completly.......we burp him......will either play or if he is real hungry we will give him some pureed food....give him like 5-10 mins...and then he starts getting restless and pushing himself back that we give him another 6 oz bottle of formula, and he is happy and quite after that. Usually wants to go to sleep. And in about 4 to 5 hours it starts all over again.
Remember that these are their critical growning times. And if you have further questions...ask your pediatrician. They will solve your concerns.

It really depends on your child I mean I know my son was only taking 4-6oz every 4 hours but I also have a friends and her baby isn't even 2 months old yet and he is drinking 7-8oz every 3 hours. So it depends on what your son can handle. You should definitely address a pediatrician with this concern.

you can ask a latation consultant about this but as the baby gets older the intervals for formua decrease but at 3 months i was breast feeding to and i just let my daughter eat for however long she wanted whenever she wanted. i didn't worry about the 10 minutes on each breast or nothing like that i just switch breast each feeding and i did fine, you never can tell how much the bab is getting out of the boob because they might be sucking hard and getting a mouthful at a time or your breast might be full and they are getting alot. but i would just let her eat when she wants to.

I personally feed my daughter when she was hungry. I didn't stick to the guidelines b/c every child is different. It could be that your baby isn't getting enough.
