The stock market regularly trades from 930A-400P Eastern time Mon-Fri. But there is after hours trading before and after as well.
As far as the holiday schedule, you can go to any of the websites to find that out (amex.com, nyse.com, and so on).
Here's a listing of the holidays for 2006.
