I have about 2000 songs from different sources (Limewire, CD's, etc.) on my PC. I want to permanantly delete them completely off my computer. How can I delete them to make more room on my computer?

Select the file you want to delete, press and keep down the "Shift" key and press the "Delete" key. A dialog box will ask you if you're sure you want to delete the file; click the "Yes" button in that box.
Instead of pressing "Shift+Delete" you can right-click the file, press and keep down the "Shift" key and click the "Delete" command in the context menu.

Be carefull though: you won't be able to restore the files you delete this way.

Right Click on MY COMPUTER and pick EXPLORE. Then look for the folder that your limewre downloads to. Folders are shown on the left, and files are shown on the right. Pick the file that you want to delete and use the DELETE button. (The Delete button looks like an X).

Learn how to use your computer more efficiently and get to know Windows Explorer. That is the best way to get somewhere with your computer.

Be sure to BURN a CD of the good downloads, When you have too many, you will simply never get around to it... At some point, your computer will DIE and you don't want to lose this stuff.

You want to safely remove many song files on various disk drives, and leave the rest. Check owner manual. Sounds like U need delete each individually ( ugh what a drag ). CD's can't be changed but U can copy what U want from them. Then empty trash to free memory (It's not space). Then they will be gone forever.
use disk defrag utility help computer to run better. That puts files together and makes finding them faster 4 computer.

There are two ways to do this. If you use a music client, you can delete through it, telling it to also remove from the hard drive.

You can also go to your music folder ("My Music" for PC clients. I don't know where for Itunes) and find the songs there and delete them.

After you have deleted by one of the options above, you want to open you recycle bin and tell it to empty. Then your space will be free.
