For me a song has to make sense. I can't listen to songs, that have great music, but horrible lyrics. For example, that song by Fergie, what does "my london bridge wants to come down" even mean? Horrible.

yes songs lyrics are important unless the musician are awsome and the song would be great with out lyrics like jazz.

depends on the song. if it's a great tune, like great beat or sung with heart and intensity then maybe bc it moves me but if it's so raunchy or obnoxious then i might not be able to listen to it. also sometimes a song sucks, but the words are just touching. can go both ways. but that's me.
