According to a website I have found, the biggest pumpkin in Britain was grown by Ian and Stuart Paton from near Lymington, and it was a whopping 1,124 lb, beating the previous record of 1,048 lb by 76 lb!

(1124 lb=509.8 kg, 1048 lb= 475.4 kg) (http://www.onlineconversion.com )

Or it may be Michael Winner.
