According to a website I have found, the biggest pumpkin in Britain was grown by Ian and Stuart Paton from near Lymington, and it was a whopping 1,124 lb, beating the previous record of 1,048 lb by 76 lb!

1,502 pounds, a pumpkin owned by a Rhode Island farmer may set a new world record for the biggest pumpkin in the world. The pumpkin, weighed Saturday at the 13th annual Rhode Island Southern New England Giant Pumpkin Growers Championship, exceeded the weight of last year's record-breaking pumpkin by slightly over 30 pounds.
