There are 4 billion stars in OUR galaxy, and billions of galaxies in the universe. How can u not believe that there are planets orbiting some stars, with intelligent life on them, most likely, far more intelligent than we are?

There's a really nice equation called the "Drake Equation" (website given) that allows you to "guestimate" the intelligent life in the galaxy. You can plug in the numbers and it does the calculation for you. Try it -- it's fun.

Also, there are about 175 billion stars in the Milky Way, not 4 billion.

Perhaps... You'd also have to consider that The universe itself is 15 billion years old and the Earth is only 4 billion years old. Out of that, humanity has only existed for about 100,000 years or so. So roughly it took us 4 billion years to get here... or 15 billion depending on how you look at it.

The dinosaurs lived for about 165 million years before they died out.... and that was a long time compared to other extinct species...

The point is that there may be life on other planets somewhere... but who's to say that they exist at the same time? Who's to say that they are intelligent? The vast distances between stars and galaxies and the speed of light are all limiting factors to contacting an alien civilization.

Hi. There are more like 400 BILLION stars in our galaxy. We have different species on THIS planet which are quite intelligent. Dolphins are a good example. I don't think it would be hard to imagine that the human intelligence is the limit, or even a significant milestone, when it comes to intelligence.

We most certainly NOT the only intelligent life in the universe or the cosmos for that matter. There are celestial beings that have freedom of travel throughout the universes and are more mobile than we. They are called angels. Then there is God himself, sovereign, supreme, creator of ALL things. He is certainly an intelligent being. And moreover who knows what God may have created in other galaxies or universes. Jesus said himself "and sheep of another fold have I". What does that mean. Some say that he meant the gentiles but there were gentiles there when he said it.

I don't know. If indeed there are other life or life forms I think they are more intelligent than are we. So that means they are smart enough to leave us alone and never visit. They would also be intelligent enough to realize that this planet and it inhabitants are not going to be around much longer.

There's not a whole lot of intelligent life HERE ! Not only are "we" trying to destroy each-other, but we're going to destroy the planet in the process. Just a matter of time...

The so-called Drake Equation is made up of arbitrary assumptions and as a result while it's fun to do the math, it's ultimately meaningless. There's no life out there. There's no Ardra coming to clean up the mess here on Earth.

It's half ignorant to believe we're the only beings in the VAST universe. There's gotta be something smarter than humans out there.
