Midway is the city's other large airport. It has more discount airlines like Southwest, ATA, etc so being cheaper I would say probably yes. The airport was just redone a few years ago and it is very modern. However, Midway Airport doesn't take many if any international flights besides Mexico and Canada. If you are coming from Europe or Asia or somewhere else you will have to come into O'Hare. Midway is also a lot closer to the downtown Chicago than O'Hare. From Midway to downtown Chicago is about 20 min to 30 min. From O'Hare most likely an hour or more depending on traffic. I hope this helps. Good luck and have fun in Chicago.

Midway Airport is the 2nd airport in Chicago, and it is cheap, modern, and safe because busy airports like O'Hare and Jackson- Hartsfield Atlanta Int'l Airport are 2x better than Midway. And if you wish to go downtown, the CTA Orange Line Trains (if you know it) can take you directly to the Loop (downtown).

As many others have said, Midway airport is good, if you're flying out...or even in...it's usually less congested and easier to get through than O'Hare just simply because it's not international and smaller. My grandma refuses to fly out of O'Hare because it's too congested and too much walking for her, but she'll fly out of Midway (if she HAS to fly at all). I'm sure there are other airports, but Midway and O'Hare are the only ones I know of.

There is Midway airport, Gary Airport and Rockford's airport. In terms of flights and safety Midway is the best. Midway also is very Modern looking on the inside. It actually looks more modern then O'hare.

Midway is also in Chicago, and usually cheaper to fly into than Ohare. However, if you are contemplating going to the southeastern part of Chicago, near Indiana, Gary has a small airport that you can really save with, and Gary Indiana is just a few minutes from the Illinois border. If you want to go say downtown, or to trendy areas of the city for a visit or site seeing, then Midway is your answer.

Midway is Chicago's other airport. It is usually more affordable to fly into Midway - the low-cost airlines usually fly there - Southwest, Ted, etc. There's also less air traffic here, so there should be less delays. For more info on Midway, check out this site:

Midway has just been completly remodeled. I find that on most of my clients travel, Midway is more expensive. However some airlines do not fly into O'hare. Like Airtran & Southwest. What are your travel dates I can check prices for both.

Yes there's Midway, and it's very new only about 5 years old. Also it's usually a little cheaper to fly into Midway, than Ohare.

Midway Airport. It's great - you can take the train directly to downtown from this airport as well.
