Actually, toxicshadow, I do know what 'C' is. 'C' is a programming langauge, and I can do a bit of programming in it. I can also program in Phrogram, C++, C#, BASIC, pascal and python. I am going to try and go for a Microsoft certificate after christmas if I can. I came to game programming from a more software application developing side. I have built Pac Man and tetris actually, and i have built 3d games before. By the way, this was only out of interest, I have around 4 years before I even have to think about university courses. I am 13!

Ok, if you want to start making computer games, making them for a console should be your _final_goal_ not a _starting_point_. Games companies need to have a license from Sony to release games for the PS2, and only those companies have easy access to the hardware and software tools required to do so. On top of that, it takes literally hundreds of people to make games of that standard, you'll NEVER see a PS2 release made by a lone amateur.

If you want to start making games, start at the beginning and learn to program first. Don't worry about the language you start on - you will almost certainly end up learning a few languages before your skills are anything like what you'd need to code for the PS2. The important thing is to learn the concepts and techniques of programming - that knowledge can transcend language and be useful whatever language you code in.

Basically, good for you for wanting to learn, but take it one step at a time. If you decided you wanted to be a surgeon, you wouldn't start performing open heart surgery on your first day, you'd start in a classroom with textbooks - and there you'd stay for at least the first year or two.

I suggest you look online for programming tutorials, and at the same time go and read up on how the games console industry works - it's more complicated than you seem to be aware of.

Rawlyn.

Your going to have to learn programming skills. I would try creating a "pac-man" game or something of that level before trying to code a more advanced game. A PS2 game is going to be VERY DIFFICULT to program and I dont think it can be done by yourself unless you have a lot of free time and incredible programming/graphical skills.

Programming a PAC Man game is difficult as it is. Your probably going to need to learn programming in C. Try checking out CodeGuru.com for more advice. They should be able to point you in the right direction. Hope this helps you.

No the interest will crash if each and all of the information are not there while it is going to cache the information.... you choose a miles better DVD+R and only use this device alcohol to burn the disk... then you definately could desire to mod your PS2 with the two replace magic or a demanding mod meaning you gotta purchase a chip to sadder into the tensechronic...

writing PS2 games isn't that simple.
there is no software hat can simply write it for you.
If you really want to learn go to college and take up computer game programming. It's a difficult course but if you're really interested go for it!

I'm going to humour myself on this one.

You do need to learn a lot and I mean a LOT before you can even think about starting. Knowing the programming language is only the fist step there are other concepts you need to grasp first.

But if you insist then by all means:

You better study a game developer course in a computer institute or university. Its not that easy to create a PS2 game, you better study and learn first.

It needs a whole team of programmers, graphic designers, coding experts...you can't do it on a normal computer. If you want to make games you'd be better getting Flash and learning it (although it is very hard) or getting RPG maker (very easy).
