Friend ! Your home is Forever MOVING in relation to the SURYA. How can it have a place for the SURYA. Try and think a little in a Geographical way or Astronomical way or even Scientifically. All the best for you to find a place for a STATIC SURYA (please do declare to the world if you FIND ONE)

Any place is a good place but By putting the statue in certain way you achieve a ease of doing pranams.

On east wall, looking at the statue you must face the morning rising sun to do pranams, to both the sun and the statue.

Put an another one on the west wall. offset them a little.

Offset the evening pranam, so that you do not turn your back to the statue. Even if you have only one statue.
