To make a site your homepage you go to TOOLS on your browser. Then go to INTERNET OPTIONS. Where it says homepage just type the page that you want to set as your homepage and click APPLY at the bottom and then OK at the bottom.
(This is for Internet Explorer)

For a free webpage, the best that I know of is www.freewebs.com. It is very simple to create and edit your page. I love the tools that they give you. They're great.

You're looking for a good homepage for your browser? Then why don't you make yourself one? You could place on your page links to all your favorite sites, links to some programs you use (e.g. Your E-mail client, "Messenger"), pictures and... well, anything you like.

Many internet sites offer free web sites.
Try the following:
Yahoo.com
Bravenet.com

but, be aware that most of the free ones come with ads that are placed onto your site, and which are out of your control.
