I want to do something big in May because I'll be graduating from college- which is a HUGE milestone. My sister (who's graduating from High School) my mom and I were planning on going on a cruise to Mexico because we're both graduating. But I don't want to go somewhere with her because my graduation won't be on the same level as hers. So, should I go to Europe for summer 2007 instead, or should I go to Europe this December and go on the cruise with my family in May? How much will I need to do both trips?

Or should I do one or the other? It's hard to pick which one.

I dislike the way in which people say 'Europe' as if it were one country. Europe is large and diverse with many countries which are very diverse.
Your choice of date depends on what you want to do and which countries you'd like to visit. I would choose May as the better option as the weather will be much better then. However, if you want to go skiing, then choose December.

You don't want to go because your graduation isn't on the same level? This shouldn't matter, just go and have fun if you do decide to go that is.
Depending on the part of Europe you want to go to, it isn't going to be ideal weather wise at all. Also IF you decide to go in Dec. look into it now and hope for the best in price.
Congrats on the accomplishment and good luck to you!

Do both if you can. One to honor your sister's accomplishment and encourage her to follow in your foot steps. Europe depend's on where and when you go. Summer's can be very hot, expensive, and crowded. Better to go earlier or later in the season and it can be a lot more fun with less crowds.

Europe is too cold in December, and also it is Xmas time. I highly suggest Europe in the summer (May in your case).

Go to Europe if you don't mind stink. Also if you are graduating from college and need someone on yahoo answers to help you with this decision and tell you how much money you need for it, I lament at the r-tardation of our country's college graduates.
