Please don't do this. You didn't mention how old you are which is also a factor here.
There are so many online predators, you just really will never know who you are really talking to. This person may sound sincere to you and just the right type of person, when in fact it could be a dangerous person, and this is also including the possibility of getting close to you, gaining your trust and one day, bang, there is this person, tieing a know around your throat.
It's best to keep your picture, your home phone, address, name of school, personal facts, away from online persons. You could ask for that person's home phone number and have an adult call and check this person out.
Really, I know it must feel good to have made a friend you feel you can relate and share with, but please check yourself on this one, and try to get ahold of some tapes put out by the Walsh Society regarding online predators. This would be John Walsh, his little boy was taken from a Florida Mall years ago, and later found dead. He has spent his life since, putting laws into place to protect our children and now has tapes out about giving personal information to anyone over the internet.
Please be careful, don't send any thing to this person and just be honest about it. Tell the person until you are sure of his identity, or hers, absolutely sure with absolute proof without any possibility for error, you can not do this. If you feel a close relationship with your parents, you might talk to them about this also. Their wisdom may be of great value to you.
Be careful, please

NO, have him send you a pic to the address of the local police dept.,with a return address on the envelope, accept nothing else. IF...he sends you a letter with a picture in it, you are on your way to knowing who he is!!! The pic may not be him but , you can try to match the name to the address and search for a phone # matching the name etc. Put the pieces of info together and verify who he is, then determine if he's friend of foe, then ask for more advice on how to proceed. Send NOTHING to a stranger.

If you have a myspace page or a Yahoo 360 page, put a picture up there, but DON'T send him a picture using regular mail. If you do that, he'll know exactly where you live, and that isn't necessarily safe.
You don't say how old you are or how old he is, so the best thing is to not give him your home address.

Find a friend in the real world. Then they won't need a picture. Don't do it. It's hard enough to know a person in the real world. Listen to your friends. They sound like they have intelligence. Maybe you should talk to some people that have had horrible experiences with the nice people online. Be cautious.

As an avid image fanatic i could be suited to ask. And, with the various diverse backdrops I very own you have your alternatives of, sundown sea coast, Alpine Retreat, Autumn wooded area or for my hillbilly kin contributors, Nascar Talladega Speedway. Arch your back and pout your lips for me.....oh, yeah, that's the stuff!

Are you Leary sending him a picture? If you are it's very simple...don't send him a picture especially if you are a minor!!!!
P.S. I would never show anybody my real picture so I have an Avatar instead.
GOOD LUCK!!!!

I wont say 'yes' or 'no'. Just...think about it. I mean, really think about it. How would u feel to see ur pic (possibly) changed and on a website. It could happen. Think the worst and hope for the best kinda thing...
