1.) they both see the same sunset even though they are from different worlds in some sense.
2.) He say's it's b/c then his father is at least showing him some kind of attention instead of just ignoring him.
3.) Since they're parents are both dead if they get into trouble then they could all be broken up and ponyboy and I believe his other brother soda pop could be sent into foster care.
4.)It's been a long time since I read the book but wasn't chapter 3 where ponyboy was dreaming in the park about his parents?

In what Cherry meant is they is does not matter where they stand that they would see the same sunset and think of each other.
Johnny like it cause it show him that his father loved him and the he did not like what he did.
Cause Dally was worried that some thing happen to him cause he was put in the place of man of the house after their parents were kill.
As for the foreshadowing I don't know but the author want us to know that there will be something bad will happen to have good come up in the end...With out tell us what is going to happen.. It makes us read more and keep us in the book to the end to find out the this could happen to any one of us..

this book and movie are very good. you should really watch the movie then read the book you will understand easier.
cherry ment that even tho they are from different groups they are really still the same because they watch the same sunset.
johnny likes it better because at least his dad is giving him some sort of attention.
dally worries about ponyboy because he knows that if he gets into any trouble ponyboy will get taken away from dally
i really can't remember the endd of chapter 3. but the def. of forshadowing is when the aurthur drops hints about something that is gonna happen later on in the story. im not sure about chapter 3 but didn't someone give someone a knife?......... read it that might be it!

In the Outsiders, The Socs hate the greasers because of basically history. The Socs have the money and popularity, while the Greasers have less money and aren't so popular. But, as you will see in the middle of the book, the Socs and the Greasers start to collide, and then drift away suddenly. As for the question #2, you must answer that on your own terms. For me, Ponyboy and his friends are similar because me and my friends always stick together no matter what. Ponyboy and the Greasers are different then me, because I don't go out killing people, running away, and burning down a church! The Greasers are so important to Johnny because that's all he has. His friends have always been there to help him. When Johnny was beat up, the gang was there to save him. When they ran away, Ponyboy was always there to help Johnny. No matter what happens, Greasers helped Greasers! They always stuck together!

1. The book and movie are about kids from different parts of town. What she meant was that even though they were from different backgrounds, they both watch the same sunsets. She was relaying to him that they are same.
2. It's been a long time, but this happens after Pony Boy is hit by his brother. Johnny says he likes it because pony boy is pretty upset.
3. Because they live alone with no parents and he is afraid the police will pick him up and will take him away. He couldn't find him and he thought maybe something had happened.
4. I don't remember Chaper 3. What happens?

Foreshadowing is something in the book that will help you predict the ending.
Read the book! It is great and it was written by a girl that was 17 years old. It is not long.

*blinks* this is terrible!! The questions would be pretty simple if you just read the book! (They would be simple even if you didn't read the book)
Instead you are just having people answer all the questions for you!!
