Bad gasoline is a possibility but after 10 months it should at least burn! How bad it is will depend on how much was in the tank when you parked it. If the tank was full or nearly so the damage to the gasoline will be minimised. You might do well to replace the fuel filter first.
Engine lubrication will be minimal though and it might be best to crank a bit with the spark plugs removed to get oil circulating again. A squirt of a little repeat little engine oil into the cylinders before you do that might be a good idea too. It will make a bit of smoke when you do start it but too bad about that. This will fill the fuel lines with gasoline and will be less strain on the battery than trying to crank fuel into the system with the spark plugs in.
If it has not been on blocks the tyres might not be much good anymore. I've heard of engines starting after 30 years of disuse so 10 months should not be a tremendous problem.

Provided your battery is charged up I would unhook the coil wire or whatever you have to do to disable the ignition and then when you start it the engine will turn over slowly without starting so you can get some oil flowing to the engine. Do that for 20 or 30 seconds and then hook your coil wire back up and go ahead and start it. Once it has warmed up go ahead and change the oil and filter. The gasoline will probably be OK but when you fill it up you may want to add a can of Seafoam to the gas tank to clean out any varnish that may have built up in the fuel injectors.

Put some stabil in the tank.
Remove the plug wires or coil wire and crank it for a bit, to get the oil running thru it.
Connect the wires back up and go.
