Yeah by the way did you know your husband could have filed a lawsuit for uncomfortable work environment? Yes and he could have gotten a bundle. Stand up for yourself tell the bosses wife if she keeps spreading rumors then you will file suit for deformation of charecter and that you will win. Because all those ppl she keeps spreading rumors too you are going haul into court through a subpenia and then they will have to tell everything she said to them . that should be enough to shut her up ,if it does'nt then do it file a lawsuit against her and her husband . Good Luck and God Bless.

Just go get the check and leave it alone why bother. It would bother them more if you kill them with kindness I always do it and people hate it. They will realize they cant break you. And about the rumors obviously you and your husband are that important if people keep talking about you guys and they don't have anything better to do.. funny that that guy is a boss of anything being the a$$hole he is.

well if i were you i would pick up his check then check the ex-boss and his wife. if they want to fight i say lets get it! but on the real the reason they are talking about you all is because they are not pleased with themselves and if they are talking about you it just lets you know that they are thinking about you. don't sweat it.

hm...

Do you like to be involved in drama...?
Usually those that spread rumors have CONTROL in the group in which it spreads... They know that they can win in this group.!
..
lawsuit???
I wouldn't... Usually rumor spreaders have the legal system on their side in that group as well...

I'd ignore them as tho I didn't know that a rumor exist. And if I was asked about it I'll say something like," I don't comment on rumors except to acknowledge that they exist and there are more than one of them." Then leave whoever was asking me that question free to return to the group from which they came... ...With no further comment from me!

But then in my group of friends there is very little drama!

I'd say, DO NOT confront, for it says in the Bible just to strive for peace with everyone. I mean don't say a word and mind your own world, as far as they may be concerned, since you do not know them anyway.
