by color???,,, by size??? . . . . .
I just can't decide... and my closet is a real mess, and I don't know what to do with it... help...!!!

I organize it by season. Presumably you do not need to hang up anything that is the wrong size. Put it away if you want, or better still, donate it to the local thrift store.
Within the seasons, organize it by item -- blouses, skirts, slacks, dresses, with your favorites to the front and your least favorite toward the back. Then when you start wearing clothes you don't really like, it is time to do some washing and ironing.

Go to the Container Store and get a closet space organizer by elfa. Ask them for ideas. Normally most people do it by type (shirts, jackets, jeans, etc.)

i organize my closet by type of clothes. i keep all my jackets at the back then sweatshirts. all my skirts and dresses then pants. I have all of my long sleeved nice tops and then the long sleeved non work tops. same with short sleeves and then tank tops. it's certainly not rocket science and there are probably more efficient ways, but it works for me. i keep all my shoes in shoe racks and all my jeans and sweaters folded on the shelf along with my bags.

by colour definately!! start with the darker colours and work your way up to the lighter colours... this way it is easier to find the item of clothing you are looking for
