OK, try going to your doctor, they would be better able to tell you what is going on than someone on here. But if they tell you it's fine, then it must be. My mom actually had the same thing at your age and she didn't have her period for like 3-4 months....but she was fine, she ended up having 2 kids, me and my sister. But just to be on the safe side, I would go see the doctor. Good luck, hope things are OK.

It's a bit early to decide that you're not going to be able to have children based on 3 months without having a period ^_^.
In reality, especially close to menarch (when you start having your periods) and menopause (when you stop) the menstrual period may be very irregular, and there are many things that can cause it. Pregnancy is obviously one of the most common causes, but you adressed that in your question. Stress, as you mentioned, can be one, another is low body weight (how much do you weigh?). There are also a number of hormonal disorders that can cause secondary amenorrhea (which is what it's called when you have your period then stop).
The good news is that very few of these things are emergencies, and often the problem will resolve on it's own. If it persists and really worries you though, then by all means go to your ob/gyn and ask him about it, there's no substitute for a doctor who has the opportunity to take a good history for trying to figure out exactly what's going on.

YOU'RE FINE... trust me... i am 16 and i just asked this question the other day for my friend... its perfectly normal because your hormones are still balancing themselves out. it is possible that up into your 20's you can experience these gaps. I got really worried this month when i didn't start for near 2 months but it is OK now. quit worrying and if it continues then go see a doctor. Also, stress isn't the only factor in slowing it down... if you exercise a lot or are skinny then they could also play a role in it. And it sounds like you could be stressing yourself out.

calm down, take a deep breath.

This is absolutely normal.

As previously said, at this time in your cycle, you are likely to have periods of irregularity. I went through it myself for 5 months. Now I'm as regular as clockwork.
Don't stress over it because stress can cause your periods to became irregular or non existant.

If you're still worried, have a chat with your doctor or practice nurse.

Your feelings are normal and it sounds like your body is acting normally too. It's not unusual for a young woman like you to have widely irregular periods. Many women never get into a regular 28-day cycle. Assuming that you are otherwise healthy, eat a balanced diet, get exercise and are NOT terribly underweight, you are probably OK.
You could always ask your physician.

Stress is not the only thing that can delay a period. Have you suddenly become very active in sports, like joined cross country running, soccer, etc. Just relax it is normal. However, if it continues talk to your Mom again and ask her to go to the doctor.

There's no need to worry. It's normal for a young girl like you. I d0n't think u are the only young girl who is facing this kind of situation. Its maybe because of lack of blood cells. When u have grown old enough, u will no longer have this problem. I think u will no longer had this problem when u reach 14-15 years old. if this problem persist, consult a doctor.

it happens. it really does. i was regular for YEARS. and then not for no apparent reason. my diet didn't change, it wasn't stress or anything obvious. if you are so worried, try seeing your doctor. and it's not silly at all to be concerned. sometimes when your cycle is disrupted, even when your life is back on track, your body is still out of whack. if you are that upset, ask your mom to see your doctor to calm your fears.

I agree with your mother. It is more than likely from the stress you mentioned but if it bothers you this much, then go see your doctor.
