My garage door will not open with remote or keypad, however if I hold remote next to antenna it opens?

Sounds like two different problems to me. After changing the batteries in the remote, try unplugging the opener, waiting a minute or two, and then plug it back in. Reset the code in your keypad, and try everything again. Sometimes they just need a "hard reset" in order to function properly again.

batteries,or you may have jarred loose your internal antenna in the remote

change your batteries , new ones
