Computer viruses are malicious programs that can harm your computer. They are spread through emails and people sending them files over the web using sites like rapidshare, warez, crack sites, even **** sites have lods of viruses and it's varient trojans. You'll know you have a virus if your computer slows down, stops responding, and restarts every few minutes. To help protect your computer you need to download an antivirus program and keep it up to date. Some free programs are AVG, Anti-Vir, Avast, and Bitdefender. AVG and Avast are the 2 best free ones. Bitdefender used over 100mb of ram on my computer even when it wasn't scanning my computer so personally I don't reccomend it. My personal fav is Nod32, (though not free) When set to typical install, it scans files in the background (no more scanning computer's once a week), and will scan email attatchments and internet files b4 they are downloaded to your computer. Eset Nod32 offers a 30day trial at http://eset.com. If you don't want to pay for antivirus programs, use AVG or avast. Also contact your ISP and see if they have a suite that you can use. ISP's offer antivirus/antispyware programs for free for using their service. Best of Luck and Be safe out there...

To give u a good example Viruses are created or should I say programmed as infectors which destroy and eat up all the files and folders in computers which have these in them.
There are thousands of types of viruses and still growing.
Its created by experted computer programmers who wants to spoil other computer files.
Viruses are mostly found in Windows Xp PC's and are formed by files downloaded into the computer which are infected by these Viruses.
Viruses aren't like the ones which form in our body, but the more infected files u have in u'r computer the more it will spread and spoil u'r whole computer.
