Well the answer really depends on method of travel.
Traveling by air, about 1723 miles. (www.indo.com)
The site I used gave me 1723 as the crow flies, wonder why different amount by previous responder??
Traveling by road/highway, about 2140.4 miles (maps.yahoo.com/beta)
And the main reason for the difference is that by road you will have to go up and down mountains and valleys. And going over or throught the Rocky Mountains would add several miles onto the travel route. An airplane uses a mostly direct route from point A to point B. By road, you are limited to the route the roads take you, and many are not direct at all from city to city or state to state.
On the link below for "by road" you will have to input the city, state in the "to" and "from" boxes to get an answer. Yahoo beta maps is great to use for questions like this. But only if traveling by road or highway.
Good luck!

I really wonder why people are willing to waste their 5 points for a question which can be so easily found on map sites with much more precision!

Approx. 1,877 miles. This is basing off of air miles and I have a way that I can figure approx. drive miles.
Now of course this is the # of miles yes, but it may take you more miles depending on your route you able/do take.
