It doesn't suprise me a bit. Ever since slaves won their freedom, and women got rights, they've been on a rampage to turn back the clock. That's why you've got books like "The Bell Curve" and the Pro-Life Movement.

I consider myself rather conservative. But in no way do I agree with the Conservatives' remarks in this article you posted. Just because a few idiots make their opinions known doesn't mean all conservatives agree or support them. Base your opinion on just those speaking for themselves. They can't speak for all in their group because we are all individuals and should be treated as such.

The Islamist extremists have never stopped having other people as slaves. Don't blame Republicans though. We fought to END slavery. The National Socialist (note SOCIALIST!!) Party, aka Nazis want it back though. Of course, that is they are too lazy or stupid to take care of themselves.
