Normally on the back of your computer, you should have a Pink jack plug ( microphone) , a LIGHT GREEN jack plug (head phones or speakers) and a LIGHT BLUE jack plug (sound in, such as a tape or radio) , if you have a newer computer you may have a PINK and a GREEN plug on the front, especially for head set use, Normally the plugs on the head set are the same colours as the sockets that they go into.

Have alook on the back of your tower for the little green hole. If you have speakers already thats the hole you need to use for the headphone part, then for the mic you need to put it into the pink hole. It won't hurt your pc to mix up the holes and ur phones will only make a nasty noise if you get it wrong. Plug away LOL

Depends, is it a usb connection?..or the 'other one'?(!).
Have you a frontal socket as mine does?,..or have you to plug everything in the back?
Best idea, get a mate to come round and show you.
