So why is there no Evolution??

... and why do scientists today treat it as a religion??

If there is no such thing, it must be a false god!

Firstly, people, evolution supposedly occurs as partners are chosen and births are given.
Someone on here mentioned the slowing of evolution due to longer lives!
It is not awaiting death that causes evolution, but choice of mate.

Next, too many of you think that the simple process of natural selection is evolution!!

The prime generator of the full evolutionary process is genetic random Mutation.
There are actually 2 aspects to evolution.
Evolution into new species cannot occur without the mutations.

It is the mutations that I am disputing!!

Changes WITHIN a creature occur via natural selection; but don't ask me about how plants go about it!!!!!

I having trouble understanding your question. Are you questioning the theory of evolution or religious creationisim? Who told you there is no Evolution? Who ever said Scientists treat it as a religion?

Evolution is not a one-day affair. Even Rome wasn't built in a day !! Evolution takes place over a period of years depending on several factors like Survival of the Fittest, Natural Complications, etc. As far as the religious aspect goes, you must very well know that religion is a way of life and its continuity. So there is no mistaking in scientists's treatment of evolution as a religion.

Dr.C, I can understand that all persons are infatuated with the idea that SEEING IS BELIEVING !! But do you think that all things like hunger, thirst, etc can be seen ?? Does that mean your hunger and thirst not exist ??

You mean saber tooth tigers and giant ground sloths are still here??? Wow! I hadn't noticed! I can't remember the last time I saw an 18 inch horse either. Or a toothed bird. Guess I'll have to be more observant.

Scientists don't treat anything as a religion. Religion does not fall within the purview of science. A scientist may be a firm believer in a religion in his/her personal life. But if he approaches science from that perspective he is no longer thinking as a scientist.

there is no evolution now a days (or little) as evoultion occurs when more of a certain type of thing survive more then an other.
for example rabbits with better hearing and awarness are more likely to survive then a blind rabbit with no legs. therefore the rabbits with gd hearing survive, breed and therefore evolution is occuring. rabbits hearing gets better over time due to the ones with the best hearing are more likely to survive and breed.
according to this theory in the future all women will be v curvy and guys bigger built as these are quite frankly, more likely to get laid, therefore that will be evolution. less evolution is happening now though, as most people live now a days, and arent let to die

Evolution in humans happens too slowly to notice.

A more noticable form of evolution would be the flu virus (mutates/changes/evolves every year), or something like bacteria that has become resistant to antibiotics (like MRSA).

Evolution is still going on. Only, it's too slow for us to notice it.

Evolution is not treated as a religion.

As for your last statement, I'd say you're a bit screwed up.

Sweet! I get to answer this question twice!

I'm totally starting a religion for evolution since there actually doesn't seem to be one.
