sometimes i come to the conclusion that this is true. after convincing myself that my line of argument is true, fighting it to the death and him getting more and more confused... a huge amount of other crap comes out, seemingly unrelated. he tells me that im taking things out of context and most of the time he's right. i think women fight because they need to get something off their chest, sometimes they pick a fight and pursue a crap argument for the sake of it. and i always feel guilty. and im trying to change.

Depends, usually when I argue with my husband it's for a reason, but somedays when I am argrivated or when it is that time of the month I am just mean to him, just cause! It's weird, I don't think wives want to start fights but it just happens. That's what marriage is all about!

It might appear as such , but someone who is argumentative and difficult all the time has an underlying unhappiness with themselves, and just using their spouse as a a whipping post and a scape goat as a way to unload the frustration .and the blame for it. You could do everything in your power to make her happy and it won't change a thing . If she does not get professional help you better learn to live with it or get out!

It is never for "no reason". And most of the time what we are the most angry about is NOT the reason for the current fight. There are some underlying issues that y'all need to get worked out.

I don`t think so.It sounds like there may be a power struggle which could be undermining the relationship.
When faced with conflict refuse to be drawn into a reply, count to ten and either walk away and do something different or say " your entitled to your opinion and I am entitled to mine" smile and move on.

I think that women in general are able to manufacture a problem where none exists, and men on the other hand would say (whats the big deal). Neither is right or wrong it is just the way we are different. Neat huh.

No. There is a reason but it may not be apparent to the male brain, may have nothing to do with the husband, or may be a cry for help.

No! Instead give your friend or yourself the example of Sant Tukaram, whose wife always used to quarrel with him. Her this gesture lead Sant to move more rapidly towards GOD. Not only this instance, we should always take negative things in a positive manner.

I think men just do not get some things about a woman. They tend to think that the woman has no reason to be mad. There has to be something that made her mad otherwise she would not start a arguement.
