Stopping to think about an answer to ANY question is a good thing. Sometimes we spout off replies that we later regret or didn't mean because we aren't thinking about our answers. I agree with sexy_s in that you might be thinking of the whys instead of just a simple yes or no. It may not mean what you think. Maybe you're just trying to get a reaction from your wife that indicates that she still loves you. Perhaps you've just heard the question so many times and you know she knows the answer that you just pause for effect? If you're going through a rough patch, you might be actually thinking about the possibility of not loving your wife anymore. It's also possible to love some one but not LIKE them very much at times!
Anywhooooooo, it doesn't always have to mean the worst or doom and gloom. The fact that you're realizing you're thinking about it is a plus for improving the relationship. It IS possible to fall in love with the same person twice! ;-)

not a good sign you have there! not being able to answer right away means that you are not so sure if you still love her or if you still feel the same way for her like you did before..

You're relationship is in trouble! Time to get to work on the relationship if you want to work it out. It's a shame you had to think about that question.If you do love her you owe it to yourself and to her to work on it. If not, then let her go and start her life over again with someone who will love her.

I think this is normal, coz sometimes we stop when we feel bad about something , but dosent mean we dont love the pther person.

I would be very upset if my husband had to hesitate if I was to ask him that question. I would think he did not love me. I am so blessed because I do not have to ask my husband that I already know he loves me.
