Sounds like trouble to me! RUN, don't walk, away from these crazy, selfish folks. And certainly don't get your son involved. You'd be making a HUGE mistake! Godblessya.

If they are a great family, why not? I am a single mother raising 3 children alone. What I would give to have family near me! Just make sure there are no other motives other than that of wanting to help you and your son because they are good people. And yes, there are good people still out there.

My mom a couple years ago had a friend that is going through the same stuff as you so we invited her into our family. She had 3 sons and my mom had me and my brother. The boys were all the same age and they enjoyed spending time together. So i think it would be a good choice to go there until you get everything under control.

GOOD LUCK

It's the same process in ANY acquaintanceship. Look very, very carefully for deal breakers, signs of abuse, or other things you can't handle. Go as slowly as you would in a courtship.
