Depends on timing. I think that, speaking strictly for myself, I can't really be close to someone while hiding and keeping it a secret. Before coming out to my friends, we hung out a lot and had fun but we weren't really CLOSE. With my parents...I wasn't all too confrontational or anything, but I'd come home from school (late-ish after hanging out with people) and lock myself in my room. For some reason, closing off that part of me made me also close off the rest of me (and I didn't notice until after I came out). I never said more than "hi" to my roommate freshman year of college until second semester when I went out for a cigarette with him and just talked about my boy problems. We hung out and talked a lot more after that.
So...being gay as such doesn't affect most of my relationships. Being closeted really does though.

Well i don't know anyone who's"gay"but if i did i would love them enough to tell them that they need to repent and turn from their actions.and that is true love, loving them enough to hurt their feeling but save their soul from damnation. And if they rejected me because of that then that would just be something else that they would have to answer for and take up with the CREATOR.
